All good treatment programs and processes begin with a thorough, comprehensive, and perceptually neutral evaluation process. Evaluations cannot be based on "gut level feelings" or limited information. The process includes personal interviews, standardized testing, and whatever other information would be necessary to provide an accurate determination of treatment needs and then to develop a specific treatment plan for the client. Each treatment plan is individualized to meet the specific needs of the client. These assessments serve as a guide for the development and implementation of a patient's individualized treatment plan. The assessment process, however, continues throughout the course of a patient's treatment.
The agenda for this program is a minimum of 72 hours of group and individual contact within a three month period. This is for persons who experience both mental health and substance use problems (i.e.: depression and substance abuse/dependence). A thorough mental health and substance use assessment is completed and then an individualized program is developed to address both issues.
